Mendoza
Mendoza is a tree-lined city in the dry Andean foothills, irrigated by channels along every street and surrounded by the country's main wine region. Most visits are structured around vineyard days in Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley. Aconcagua, the highest peak in the Americas, is a few hours west.
