Arusha

Arusha sits below Mount Meru and is the staging town for the northern safari circuit and for Kilimanjaro climbs. Most visitors spend a night either side of a trip, using it to arrange gear, permits and transfers. A small national park on the edge of town offers walking safaris and canoeing.
