Murchison Falls is Uganda's largest park, split by the Victoria Nile, which forces itself through a seven-metre gap and drops 43 metres at the falls themselves. Boat trips run upstream to the base of the falls past hippos and crocodiles, and game drives on the northern bank find elephant, giraffe and lion. A trail climbs from the river to the top of the falls.
